A Nana trying to prove to the grandies that there are some things I can do for myself on a the computer, like establishing my own blog.
I'm an ancient, widowed little over a year ago, who has had a computer and used email and the web since 1993 (almost before there was a web) I'm a keen gardener on a steep 1/2 acre overlooking Wanganui in New Zealand. Because of some physical limitations I don't spend as much time as I would like in my garden, which is probably lucky as it allows me time to indulge my other passions, Reading, Embroidery (mostly counted thread work) Patchwork and quilting, Knitting, Baking and Painting.
For the last 4 years of my husbands life I was largely housebound so the garden got a bit out of control (now largely retamed) and a lot of time was spent in Doctor's and hospital waiting rooms so in that time it has been more knitting and embroidery than quilting but still my stash grew as every time I bought Embroidery necessities I got tempted by fabrics. So now I'm hitting that pile having got together a great collection for eyespy quilts.
As time and my skills allow I will add pictures of what has been achieved in the past few years. As winter approaches time will be more readily available once the Autumn cleanup outside is completed.
